Musically Inclined is a program involving the Orff method of music as well as using portions of the Musikgarten curriculum. Orff, the method, was created by a German composer many years ago named Carl Orff. He specifically created this method for children. It was to enable them to enhance or find their singing voice as well as rhythmically train them with pitched and non-pitched instruments. This is done through simple body movements and simple rhythmic instruments.
The Musically Inclined programs starts as early as 2 years old. Music from an early age has many benefits for a life long appreciation of music as well as benefits in education, specifically reading and math. When joining one of the parent involvement classes (2 years to 3 years) you are exposing your child to more than just music. You are helping your child to learn simple processing such as taking turns, language skills and socialization all within the positive environment of making music.
It is important when choosing a music program that you are confident that the Instructor has music training and has adequate abilities in the area of study so they can guide your child through to a more formal instruction in music. Many students have started with early years programs and have gone on to formal training in voice or piano.
Musically Inclined programs are taught by a seasoned teacher with over 20 years of experience. Carol Wright B.A. Vocal , Orff, Musikgarten trained.
