Children's Art Fall Programs | Fall Workshops

How to Register for Programs & Workshops

  • Register by phone, fax, in person or email.

  • Reservations can be made by phone, fax, or email, however a registration form must still be filled out, along with payment in full, to secure a spot in the program.

Method of Payment

  • Cash, cheque, Interac, Visa or Mastercard

  • Cheques should be made payable to Smarty Pants Educational

  • Prices include all materials and applicable taxes. Classes are GST exempt.

Refund & Cancellation Policies

  • Registrants may cancel up until 10 days before the first class and will receive a credit note in the amount of the enrollment cost. After which a non-transferable, non-refundable $30.00 administration fee will be charged.

  • If a course is canceled due to low enrollment, registrants will be given notice and refunds issued immediately thereafter

Single Workshops $8 a child

Workshop Club Card - $40 (for 6 workshops, valid for one year)

(Club Card includes 6 spots to attend workshops held on Saturday’s, Summer or March Break)

Saturday Morning Workshops begin at 9am until 10am

Classes are open to all children ages 4 to 10

To register, pre-payment is required to guarantee a space for your child. If your child has a club card, you may reserve spaces by phone, fax, e-mail or in store. Smarty Pants staff will make reminder calls to all families the day before all workshops.

A phone call 24 hours prior to the workshop date must be made to state reason for not attending. If we do not receive a phone call, you will be charged for one workshop on your club card

 Toddler Music Program (Ages 2-3 yrs)

Studies have proven that introducing music to young children increases their math and reading skills, not to mention their appreciation for music itself. 

This toddler music program has been designed for children ages 2 and 3 years of age, accompanied by a participating parent or guardian.  Based on the ORFF method, music is rhythmic based, but encourages pitch and simple dynamics.  It’s a hands on approach to music where you will often hear the child say “Let’s do it again!”

Instructor Carol Wright has a BA in Music Vocal and has been teaching for 18 years.

Classes begin on Friday, September 12 at 10:45 -11:15am

Along comes another great addition to Smarty Pants………….

While studying at The Ontario College of Art, Kathryn Berggren was the recipient of numerous awards and scholarships, including some for Butter Sculpting.  Upon graduation in 1986, Kate returned to Niagara Falls and has since been creating works of art in her fully equipped, self-renovated studio.  She works in both 2 and 3 dimensions in various media including oils, acrylics wood, clay, plaster, cement, fibre-glass and cast aluminum and bronze.

Kate has experience teaching folks of all ages. She has lead classes at Niagara College Day and night school, private art camp, the Pumpkin Farm, DSBN Art Sessions, Youth Group Art Sessions and has also offered private and group lessons from her studio.

Kate’s passion for “DOING” is contagious and she truly enjoys patiently encouraging her students to “GIVE IT A TRY”

We welcome her and look forward to her wonderful ideas in the fall!

Let’s have an hour fun of beading a lovely necklace and maybe a bracelet or two!

Poppy Relief Sculpture – Saturday, November 8, 9am – 10am

An art technique using clay to create a poppy flower for Remembrance day! Give it to someone special!

Cookies in a Jar – Saturday, November 15, 9am- 10am

Let’s put together all the ingredients necessary to bake delicious cookies when we get home and decorate the jar to store them in!

Clay Christmas Tree Circles – Saturday, November 22, 9am – 10am

These clay ornaments will preserve the memories of Christmases past!

Christmas Puzzle Tree Ornaments, Saturday, November 29, 9am – 10am

Using puzzle pieces, we’ll create a x-mas tree ornament that can be kept forever!

Lightbulb Ornaments, Saturday, December 6, 9am – 10am

This craft’s a tradition, using light bulbs to create a reindeer and Santa for the tree!

Snowman Clay Sculpture, Saturday, December 13, 9am – 10am

With a hat, scarf, sticks and buttons, Frosty the snowman might come alive!
